Name: Upper Penstemon Campground
Upper Penstemon Campground is only .3 mile upstream from Lower Penstemon Campground. It is set on a gentle forested slope. There is a hiking trail coming in at the lower end and going out at the top of the campground. These trails would be fun to explore. The elevation is over 6600 feet so the nights will normally be cool. The days may get hot but there is plenty of shade here.
Campsites: Upper Penstemon Campground has 9 campsites available. Each has a picnic table and fire ring. Site 3 has an extra long table, site 5 has two tables ,and site 4's fire ring is a primitive stone ring.
