Name: Steer Basin Campground
Steer Basin Campground is located along Rock Creek about 29 miles from Twin Falls, Idaho. The mountains around are grass and sagebrush covered with many impressive rock formations. The campground is well shaded as there are many trees along the creek. This could be very hot during the summer.
Campsites: This is a small campground having only 4 campsites. The road and driveways are gravel. Each campsite has a picnic table and fire ring.

Water: No.
Garbage Services: No, pack it out with you.
Electricity Available: No.
Restroom: One vault style outhouse, it was clean at the time of our visit.
Handicap Accessible: The outhouse is handicap accessible.
Firewood: None available, you will need to supply your own.
Pets: Pets are allowed but must be kept on a leash.
Picnic Area: None at Steer Basin but Harrington Picnic Area is just a short drive back downstream and is very nice.
Recreation: Camping is an obvious activity and there are a few trails nearby for hiking. I could certainly spend some time in this area with my camera. And, I heard the fishing can be very good if you put in some effort to get isolated areas.
Fishing: There is fishing available in Rock Creek and other nearby streams. Check the regulations here.
Boating: None nearby.
Swimming: One could play in Rock Creek but there is no swimming area.
Wildlife: Rattlesnakes can be found here in the lower elevations so be careful. Deer are common as are other small woodland animals and birds.
