For recreation we drove the mile from Edna Creek Campground to a small trailhead at Crook River. It's about a one mile drive. I didn't find a name for the trailhead so I just call it the Crooked River Trail. We hiked about 2 miles down stream and back for a 4 mile hike.
There is space for a few carfs at the trailhead.
There were 2 small streams to cross. There was no bridge here and the one at the second stream was in poor condition. We hiked this in June of 2019 so it is possible they will have been repaired since.
I found it to be an enjoyable stroll along the river.
This area suffered through some major forest fires a few years ago.
What a great primitive campsite. Of course, you get a lot of company travelling the trail.
The trail continues but this is about as far as we ventured. I hope you enjoy this hike when you come.
