Name: Tie Creek Campground

Tie Creek Campground is situated on the west bank of the Middle Fork of the Payette River 8 miles north of Crouch, Idaho. The campground is on level ground next to the river with mature trees which provide some shade. There is a day use area along the river where one might play in the cool water.

Campsites: There are 8 single campsites. The road and driveways are gravel. Each site has a picnic table and fire pit with attached grate.

Host on Site: The camp host is located at Trail Creek Campground.

Water: Yes, water is available from a hand pump equipped well.

Garbage Services: No, pack it out with you.

Electricity Available: No.

Restroom: There is one vault style outhouse which was clean and well stocked at the time of our visit.

Handicap Accessible: The outhouse is handicap accessible but that is all.

Firewood: Firewood may be purchased from the host at Trail Creek but I would bring my own.

Pets: Pets must be kept on a leash.

Picnic Area: There are many primitive campsites along the river and one could picnic in any of them although there is not a designated picnic area.

Recreation: Camping, hiking, fishing, hunting, trail riding on horses and 4-wheelers are some of the recreational activities available in this area.

Fishing: Fishing is available in the Middle Fork of the Payette River. Check here for regulations.

Boating: One might float the river, but no boating.

Swimming: No swimming area but wading and playing in the river is common, however, there is no lifeguard so swimming is at your own risk.

Wildlife: Deer and black bear are common. Do use caution with your food and garbage storage to avoid a nighttime visitor.

Fees And Reservations: Tie Creek Campground is a first come first served campground. Single sites are $12 per day, another $5 for your extra vehicle and day use. Seniors with a Golden Age Pass only $6 per day.
