Name: Dog Creek Campground
Dog Creek Campground is located north of Pine, Idaho, 3.2 miles and is on the west side of the road. This area is heavy forest, pine trees with undergrowth, and very woodsy. The road and driveways are graveled. The garbage dumpsters have been moved away from the campground to avoid night time visits from the neighborhood bears. They are located near the entrance.
Campsites: There are 13 campsites and each have a picnic table, fire ring with attached grill, a cooking table and a lamp pole. Campsites 2 and 13 are double sites. Sites 1 - 6, 9 and 11 - 13 have tent squares.
Host on Site: "Steve" had been camp host for 3 years.
Water: Yes. It is on a pressurized system and has good flavor.
Garbage Services: Yes.
Electricity Available: No.
Restroom: There is a vault style outhouse which was clean and well stocked.
Handicap Accessible: Not bad. The outhouse is handicap accessible and the path to it is cement.
Firewood: You will need to provide your own firewood.
Pets: Pets are welcome but must be kept on a leash.
Picnic Area: No.
Recreation: Camping, hiking, fishing, wildlife watching and photography.
Fishing: Trout and whitefish are available in the South Fork of the Boise River. Check the regulations for seasons and bag limits.
Boating: No.
Swimming: No.
Wildlife: There could be deer, elk, black bear, wolves and a multitude of smaller animals and birds.
Phone service: No. There is a pay phone at Pine, Idaho, just a little to the south.
Nearby Services: Pine, Idaho has a very nice store with gas, propane, food, fishing supplies and more. There is also a cafe and grill.

Fees And Reservations: You may reserve a site for your camping weekend at recreation.gov. 7 and 9 are not reservable. The campground was full even in June on a wet weekend. Single sites cost $10.00, double sites are $20.00 per day as of May 2017.
