Name: Burnt Corral Campground

Burnt Corral Recreation Site is located on the rolling shore of Apache Resevior located NE of Pheonix. There are campsites on level ground near the lake and others on the hills above. This area is desert so the trees in the campground offer welcome shade. Fishing in apache Reservoir is the primary recreational activity.

Campsites: There are 77 campsites in Burnt Corral Recreation Site for RV and tent camping. The sites near the reservoir are more likely to have larger trees therefore offering more shade and a few are right on  the water. Each campsite offers a picnic table, fire ring with grate and a bbq stand on most.

Water: There is a pressurized water system and the water tasted good.

Garbage Services: Yes

Restroom: The restrooms had flushing toilets and were very clean.

Handicap Accessible: Yes

Firewood: Firewood was not for sale at the campground.

Pets: Pet are welcome but must be kept on a leash or confined.

Picnic Area: Yes there is an area to use for a picnic near the boat launch. It is smaller not something you would reserve for your large group.

Recreation: Camping, fishing, boating and hiking are activities here. 

Fishing: You may catch channel and flathead catfish, largemouth, smallmouth, striped and yellow bass, bluegill, crappie, walleye, trout and carp in Apache Reservoir.

Boating: Yes there is a very large boat launch and parking lot here.

Swimming: There isn't a swimming area but yes many people swim especailly from Upper Burnt Corral Campground.

Phone service: Phone service is likely to be unavailable.

Nearby Services: The nearest location for limited services is in Roosevelt, AZ. Globe is the nearest town of any size.

RV Dumping Site: The nearest RV dump station is a Cholla Campground on Roosevelt Reservoir.
