This road leads to another single car parking area and the trail.

It's 3 miles to Lower Palisades Lake and another 4 to Upper Palisades Lake. I have included a link to the forest service page which includes an on-line map. I would recommend buying a forest service map of the trails in this area if you are planning to hike.
