Reviewed May 2026
Mountain View Campground is very close to Lowman, Idaho, on flat land between Highway 21 and the Payette River. The area is open forest with a few low bushes scattered about, resulting in a natural setting. It is not high here so the summer can be very hot which is a good reason to play in the river.

Getting There
From Boise, take Hwy 55 to Banks. Take the Banks Lowman Road to Lowman. Turn left on Hwy 21 and the campground is just a short drive out of Lowman. If you are traveling light, it is quicker to take Hwy 21 to Idaho City and up over Mores Creek Summit to Lowman. However, it is a very steep road down from the summit to Lowman taking this route.
