Warm River Campground

Name: Warm River Campground

Warm River Campground is situated on flat land along Warm River. It is a park like setting with mowed lawns and a mix of willow and pine trees for shade. The campground is divided by Warm River with a bridge connecting the halves. Campsites vary from mostly shaded to mostly sunny, take your pick.

Campsites: There are 13 single RV sites, 1 electric RV site,12 tent sites and one group site. Every campsite has a picnic table, fire pit with attached grate and camp stove table. The road and driveways are paved. Many of the RV sites are cement and the tent sites have a sand filled tent square.

Host on Site: Yes

Water: Warm River has a pressurized water system. The water was cool and clear.

Garbage Services: Yes

Electricity Available: Only 1 campsite, #13, has electricity.

Restroom: There are multiple vault style outhouses.

Handicap Accessible: The outhouses are handicap accessible.

Firewood: Yes, there is firewood available from the camp host.

Pets: Pets are allowed but must be kept on a leash.

Picnic Area: There are individual picnic sites which may be used for a $6 dollar day use fee.

Recreation: Camping, fishing and hunting are activities nearby. There was a group of bikers camping here as they pedaled their way north to see Mesa Falls and beyond. Floating Warm River is a favorite activity.

Fishing: There are a number of streams and rivers, such as Henry's Fork, Warm River and Rock Creek in the area which may be fished. Check the regulations for restrictions and limits. Warm River is a favorite for early season fishing as the spring runoff has less effect on it because most of it's water comes from springs.

Boating: No

Swimming: No

Wildlife: There are bear warning signs so one could see bear. Deer would also be common.

Phone service: No pay phone or cell service but Ashton has both.

Nearby Services: Ashton is the nearest source of services and supplies. The is a grocery store and a hardware store as well as several other businesses.

RV Dumping Site: According to RVdumps.com there is an RV dump station at the Tourist Information Center on Hwy 20 north of Ashton.

Fees And Reservations: You may reserve a campsite for your visit at recreation.gov. Like the other campgrounds in this area, the daily fee for single sites is $15 for the 2013 season. The group site indicated $75 but when I used recreation.gov it came in at $60 per day.
