Name: Upper Coffee Pot Campground

Upper Coffee Pot Campground is situated along the Henry's Fork of the Snake River. This area of gently rolling hills is covered with a lodgepole pine forest. With river flowing by, this has to be one of the most idyllic settings one could find. There are several sights nearby to see such as Upper and Lower Mesa Falls, Henry's Lake State Park, Harriman State Park and Yellowstone National Park.

Campsites: There are 14 campsites, each is equipped with a picnic table, fire pit with attached grate, camp stove stand and a sand filled tent square. Sites 8 through 15 have electricity. The road and driveways are all gravel.

Host on Site: Yes, in 2012 "John" was the name of the camp host and was very friendly and helpful.

Water: Very nice pressurized water system.

Garbage Services: Please use the bear resistant garbage dumpsters.

Electricity Available: Power is available in campsites 8 through 15.

Restroom: There is a vault style outhouse available and yes it was clean.

Handicap Accessible: The outhouse is handicap accessible.

Firewood: Firewood is available at the camp host for $6.00 per bundle.

Pets: Pets are allowed but must be kept on a leash.

Picnic Area: There is a small picnic area.

Recreation: Camping, fishing, hiking, photography and wildlife watching are all available activities near camp.

Fishing: The Henry's Fork of the Snake River is a world class rainbow trout water so come prepared and enjoy! Check regulations here.

Boating: Kayaking and floating the river is a favorite activity.

Swimming: The river is not a "swimming" river but some do anyway.

Wildlife: Deer, moose, black and grizzly bear are the more common wildlife in this area but one could also sight wolves, fox and other smaller forest animals and, of course, birds.

Phone service: There is a pay phone at Mack's Inn and our ATT cell phones worked here.

Nearby Services: Mack's Inn is also the nearest location for supplies like pop, food and candy, there is also a laundry and public shower.

RV Dumping Site: There is an RV dump station next to Mac's Inn on Hwy 20.

Fees And Reservations: These campsites are reservable through recreation.gov. Double sites are $26 ($36 with electricity), singles are $13 ($18 with electricity) and your extra vehicle is $6 per night. Rates are increasing to $30 for a double and $15 for singles for 2013.
