Pioneer Campground

Name: Pioneer Campground

Pioneer Campground is small. For having only 5 campsites it is very unique. Campsite 4 has an old stone stage for performances. It is set along Soldier Creek, fully shaded with aspen and cottonwood trees. Soldier Mountain Ski Area is only a couple hundred yards away. Five miles to the west 10,095 foot tall "Smokey Dome" is the tallest mountain in the area.

Campsites: There are 5 campsites, each have a picnic table and fire ring. 1 and 2 are designed for individual camping. 3 has a double sized table while 4 has a stage and benches for performances. 5 has several tables and an extra large fire pit for groups. The road is gravel and the driveways are dirt.
