Mike Harris Campground

Name: Mike Harris Campground

We missed the entrance and had to go back looking for it, but the Google Map will help you find it. We arrived on a Monday and the campground was a third to half full. I recommend you reserve ahead of time. The main activity here is hiking the Mikesell Canyon Trail.

There are now 27 sites. Most are smaller and good for small campers. Gravel road into the camp and gravel sites with picnic tables, fire pits and bear boxes for food. Our site had several trees marked by bear claw scratches... Grizzlies are in the area. Host was friendly and helpful.
Overflow gravel based parking is available at the trailhead by the entrance gates to the park.
There are a few walk in sites...but otherwise reserve first as every site was taken by 4 pm. Many folks arrived too late and were left without a spot for the night. All the campsites in the parks are busy now.
