Name: Mann Creek Campground
Mann Creek Campground is situated on Mann Creek near the northern end on Mann Creek Reservoir. The elevation is about 2900 feet which is not high enough to cool off at night. The days can be very hot during the summer months. The surrounding hills are desert like even though you can see the pine covered mountains just to the north. Mann Creek Dam was completed in 1967. I must be old, because I remember when it was new!
Campsites: There are 13 tent / RV camping sites, each having a picnic table and fire ring. The road and driveways are gravel. There are trees scattered throughout the campground but is desert all around.
Host on Site: There is a host at the campground, however, we did not meet them.
Water: There is drinking water available from a hand pump well.
Garbage Services: Garbage is a "pack it in, pack it out" basis.
Restroom: Yes, vault style outhouse which is clean and well stocked.
Handicap Accessible: Yes.
Firewood: There may be firewood available at times but I saw no signs indicating it was for sale.
Pets: On a leash only. The free areas are less strict.
Picnic Area: There is a day use area near the campground with a group shelter. There are several other access sites around the lake.
Recreation: Fishing, boating, bird watching, swimming, canoeing, etc...
Fishing: Mann Creek Reservoir is stocked by the Fish and Game with trout. Perch, blue gill and crappie are also available.
Boating: There is a boat ramp available at the picnic area on the lake. Watch for it on the right before you get to the campground.
Swimming: There is a sandy beach at the site on the south end of the dam, but no life guard.
Wildlife: Watch out for rattlesnakes!
Additional Camping Opportunities: Mann Creek Reservoir has several campsites along with outhouses around the reservoir that are currently free camping.
Phone service: No phone available on the lake. However, back on Hwy 95 just a mile to the south, is the Mann Creek Store.
Nearby Services: Mann Creek Store for gas, ice, pop, propane, etc.
RV Dumping Site: No RV dumping station here. Monroe Creek Campground RV Park north of Weiser, Idaho, on Hwy 95 is the nearest I could locate.
Location/Driving instructions: Travel north on Hwy 95 from Weiser, Idaho, for 10.6 miles to Upper Mann Creek Rd. Turn left and follow the road for 1.5 miles to the campground on the left.
