Name: Lightning Creek Sportsman Access
Along the Salmon River, Lightning Creek campground is undeveloped camping at its best. There are no facilities except a portapotty but who needs them when you can fish!
Campsites: There are no tables, fire pits or barbecue stands. Great river access and a place to park your tent or RV make this campground the perfect haven for the serious fisherman.
Water: No drinking water available.
Garbage Services: No garbage service.
Restroom: There is a portapotty available.
Handicap Accessible: No.
Pets: It is not specified but as a courtesy to others pets should be on a leash.
Fishing: Wonderful river fishing.
Boating: No boat launch or boat dock.
Swimming: The river was quite high while we were there. I'm sure when the river drops to a more normal level some people will play in the water.
Wildlife: Whitetail deer and birds of prey are common to the area.
Phone service: No pay phone and no cell reception.
Nearby Services: Services are available in Riggins.
RV Dumping Site: No dumping site.
Location/Driving instructions: Lightning Creek Sportsman Access is on Highway 95, three to four miles north of Riggins on the Salmon River side of the highway.
