Name: Lava Creek Campground
Lava Creek Campground is located on Magic Reservoir across a bay from West Magic, Idaho. It is along the shore and offers good access to the lake. The area is open sagebrush covered country with few trees. It is very hot and dry during the summer so come prepared for the heat. The people camping here when we visited appeared to be young with families and were fishing or playing in the water.
Campsites: The campsites in Lava Creek are not defined, but it appears that there could be anywhere up to 5 different sites. Sites range from a site with only a stone fire ring to one with a picnic table, fire ring, and several Chinese elm trees for shade.

Wildlife: We saw birds: an owl, barn swallows and more birds. I am sure one could see deer, antelope and various predators. Oh yeah, rabbits too.
Phone service: There is a pay phone available in West Magic. Cell reception is spotty around Magic Reservoir. We had reception along Hwy 75 near Bellevue and south toward Shoshone, Idaho.
Nearby Services: West Magic has a lodge with a cafe'. Otherwise, you will be making a trip to Shoshone for things like gas, food, candy, pop and ice.
RV Dumping Site: There is an RV dumping station off Hwy 93 on West E Street in a small park on the south end of Shoshone, Idaho, which is south of Magic Reservoir about 20 miles.
Location/Driving instructions: From Twin Falls, Idaho, take Hwy 93 north to Shoshone, Idaho, (26.2 miles) where you will make a slight left onto Hwy 75 north. Follow Hwy 75 for 18.3 miles to the Cottonwoods Rd / W. Magic Rd. It is another 10.2 miles to Lava Creek Campground. Follow the Google map directions.
