Name: Kit Price Campground
Kit Price Campground is situated on a large flat along the Coeur d'Alene River. The area is heavily forested including underbrush. You will have more privacy because of the undergrowth than you may find in other areas. The river offers a great spot for wading (though a bit rocky). I imagine our children would have had a great time here.
Campsites: There are 52 campsites, with one of them being used by the host. The roads and driveways are paved. Each campsite is equipped with a picnic table and fire pit or ring. Most sites have an attached grate on the fire ring and most have a barbecue stand. The grass and brush may be trimmed back from the pavement but other than that this is a natural setting.
Host on Site: Yes
Water: There is a pressurized water system with good water.
Garbage Services: Yes
Electricity Available: No
Restroom: There are three outhouses. One of the vault style outhouses was a bit older but all were clean and well stocked.
Handicap Accessible: The outhouses are handicap accessible.
Firewood: Firewood is available from the camp host, it cost $7 per bundle in 2013.
Pets: Pets are allowed but must be kept on a leash or in a kennel.
Picnic Area: Campsites may be used for picnicking for a $9 fee.
Recreation: Floating, rafting and kayaking the Coeur d'Alene River as well as fly fishing for cutthroat trout are the primary activities. However there are trails to hike, Fern Shadow Falls to view and any photographer would find many worthy subject to shoot. I found this rafting outfitter but am sure there are others.
Fishing: Fishing is available in the Coeur d'Alene River. I didn't fish but I hear the fly fishing for cutthroat trout is great. Check the regulation here.
Boating: Rafting and kayaking is available nearby where you will find class I to class III rapids.
Swimming: There is no swimming area but there is a "beach". The river is shallow so wading and splashing in the water is available.
Wildlife: We saw a moose at Devil's Elbow Campground and they would live here also. This is bear country so proper disposal of your garbage and storage of your food is important. One could expect to see deer and you could bump into elk as well.
Additional Camping Opportunities: We have reviews for these nearby campgrounds; Bumblebee Campground, Big Hank Campground and Devil's Elbow Campground.
Phone service: None available.
Nearby Services: The nearest services such as food and gas can be found at the Beaver Creek Store.

Nearest Shower: I have not found a public shower in this area.
Nearest Laundry: Laundry Xpress at 608 N Division St, Pinehurst, ID (208) 682-3212.
