Name: Beauty Creek Campground
Beauty Creek Campground is located on Beauty Creek just before it empties into Coeur d'Alene Lake. It is set on a meadow along the creek. The area is heavily forested except for the meadow which is mowed short like a lawn. Beauty Creek is very small and was only a trickle in late June when we visited.
Campsites: There are 19 campsites, sites 1 thru 8 are tent camping only and set on an open meadow. Site 9 is a back with covered table, 10 you park along the road. 11 is a back in site with a cement pad. 15 is a back in site which is secluded and roomy. 16 is smaller but secluded and by the creek. 17 has a double width parking but single table. Each site has a picnic table and fire pit with attached grate. Site 2, 4, 9 and 12 had a cover for their table.
Host on Site: Yes, they were very helpful.
Water: There is a hand pump equipped well which is tested regularly. The water was cold but discolored. I would bring my own drinking water.
Garbage Services: Yes, we observed both a dumpster and garbage cans.
Electricity Available: No.
Restroom: There was only one outhouse which was clean, deodorized and well stocked. If you are camping in sites 16 to the end of the campground it will be a good walk to the outhouse as it is located on on the far end of Beauty Creek Campground.
Handicap Accessible: The outhouse is handicap accessible.
Firewood: Firewood is available for purchase at the camp host for $7.00 per bundle. Check it out in the "host" picture.
Pets: Pets are allowed but must be kept on a leash.
Picnic Area: No, but there is one at Mineral Ridge Scenic Area about a mile north.
Recreation: Camping, hiking, boating and fishing would be the main recreational activities.
Fishing: Lake Coeur d'Alene is just down the road and there is boat access at Mineral Ridge Public Boat Launch. Check the fishing regulations here.
Boating: See Fishing.
Swimming: No.
Wildlife: Deer, fox and small forest animals are common, but so are bear so use caution with your food storage and garbage disposal.
Additional Camping Opportunities: We have reviews for these nearby campgrounds; Bells Bay Campground.
Phone service: We had cell service on our Att phones.
Nearby Services: Coeur d'Alene is also a good nearby source for camping supplies like food, water, pop and propane.
RV Dumping Site: There is an RV dump station at the Big Y Truck stop in Coeur d'Alene just over 10 miles away. Check out this Google Map. (Info from rvdumps.com)
