Callville Bay Campground

Name: Callville Bay Campground

Callville Bay Campground is on a leveled setting above Callville Marina and Resort. This is desert country with sparse vegetation except in developed sites such as the campground. The campground has a few plam trees and scattered brush. I imagine most people stay here while they are sight-seeing or they are out on Lake Meade in their boat.

Campsites: There are 52 campsites available each equipped with a picnic table and fire ring. The roads and driveways are paved while the sites are gravel and dirt. There are smaller trees and brush scattered throughout.

Host on Site: Yes

Water: Yes, fresh water is available through multiple water hydrants in the campground.

Garbage Services: Yes

Restroom: The restrooms offer flushing toilets and lavs and were fairly clean at the time of our visit.

Handicap Accessible: The restrooms are handicap accessible. With paved driveways and roads this is a fairly handicap accessible location.

Pets: Welcome but required to be leashed if out of your RV or tent.

Picnic Area: Yes, there is a nice picnic area with several tables near the entrance to the campground. See pictures in the "Facilities" tab.

Recreation: Recreation will be divided between sight-seeing and water activities on Lake Meade.

Fishing: Striped bass, channel cat, large mouthed bass and bluegill may be caught in Lake Meade.

Boating: Yes, there is a good boat launch with a large parking area for your trailer.

Swimming: I didn't see a designated swimming area but I am sure many people swim in Lake Meade.

Wildlife: I didn't see any wildlife while visting this area other than birds and lizards.
