Black Rock Campground

Name: Black Rock Campground

Black Rock Campground is along the North Fork of the Boise River down in a pine covered valley on a bench above the river. This is a very nice campground with plenty of room. Some of the sites are along the hillsides so they are perfect for kids to play on. There are benches along the river for viewing. We found it rather quiet as we were there 2 weeks before fishing season opened.

Campsites: 11 RV / tent camping sites scattered throughout. Tables, (not the handicap type), fire pits w/grates were at each site. Tents of all sizes would fit in the sites. There is plenty of room for RV's although the road to get here is a windy, narrow dirt road with washboard. There are multiple off-road sites in the area that are well used for camping if you are self-contained.

Water: There is drinking water with a newer hand pump and it taste fine.

Pets: Pets are welcome on a leash.

Fishing: Good trout fishing, but it is bull trout area so be careful of what you keep.
